Here are some security tips to keep in mind when your Marine is deployed. Its very important to keep these tips handy. We all know how it can be when you are new to the Marine Corps lifestyle, and we want to do the best that we can to help you so you can understand the Marines better and do your job as a Marine Wife/Girlfriend or Fiancée.

• When your Marine is deployed, never discuss schedules and/or work habits, especially over the phone or e-mail.

• Do not discuss exact dates of arrival or departures, where it be over the phone or through e-mail. When your Marine deploys if you are married you should have  a key volunteer through his unit that will keep you up to date with that sort of information, if you are not married that sort of information would go to his parents or guardians.

• Do not discuss exact locations and where a bouts. This is very vital if your Marine is overseas at War.

• Use your own judgment, but consider that most information as being a need to know basis.
